Japan Tour 2019

Japan Tour 2019 is an album that was born during the time a very special quartet – formed by Mônica Salmaso, Guinga, saxophonist and flutist Teco Cardoso and clarinetist Nailor Proveta -, performed Guinga’s music in Japanese venues.

Six of the 12 tracks that form the record, which was originally edited in Japan and has been released in Brazil via Biscoito Fino, were recorded live at Nerima Culture Center, on April 10th, 2019. The remaining songs were recorded in a local studio, during the following two days.

The album, which has a work by Brazilian artist Leonora Weissmann on the front cover, brings songs that either Guinga wrote himself or with partners like Aldir Blanc, Anna Paes, Celso Viáfora, Paulo César Pinheiro and Thiago Amud.
